Hello and welcome to Serene Birthing with Shari! My name is Shari and i'm a BEST Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, Placenta Encapsulation Expert, and Registered Nurse. I have been a nurse for just under a decade, working in many fields from Pediatrics to Dialysis. Since before nursing school,  I have always had a great passion for Mothers and babies. With all that is going on right now in Women's health in the United States, it has driven me to finally take action in my passion. So I started this business to make a change. Did you know that the U.S has the highest fetal and maternal death rates in all of the developed countries in the world?  Sadly, that number increases almost 4x if you are a woman of color! Crazy right? Well I want to make a change, starting with myself, and the services I provide to expectant mothers, partners, and their families. As your Doula, I will strive to provide support physically, mentally, and emotionally, not just to mom but to her partner as well. I am not here to take the place of your partner, but to work side by side with them, enhancing their abilities to comfort you and provide a deep connection during your beautiful transition into motherhood.
